Ukraine opens the way to NATO: the plan of the Yermak-Rasmussen group

The International Working Group on Security Issues and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine has published a plan that defines specific steps for Ukraine's membership in NATO. The head of the OP, Andriy Yermak, announced this on Telegram.

Yermak noted that at the July NATO summit in Washington, there will be a call to extend an invitation to Ukraine to start membership talks. He emphasized that this is a key way to convince Russia that it cannot win the war.

The group also set a clear timeline for Ukraine's accession to NATO - by July 2028, if it fulfills specific requirements.

Yermak noted that now it is necessary to increase military aid to Ukraine, as well as unblock Russian assets worth $300 billion to support the country. If Ukraine does not receive an invitation to the summit in Washington, it could lead to increased Russian aggression.

He also added that NATO's decision in July will be important for the future peace in Ukraine and the entire region.
