State Border Guard Service: Ukraine allows relatives of those killed in ATO to leave the country

The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine has amended the Rules for Crossing the State Border by Citizens of Ukraine. According to the amendments, close relatives of those who died or went missing during the anti-terrorist operation (ATO) in Donetsk and Luhansk regions are allowed to travel abroad, the State Border Guard Service reports.


According to Decree No. 693-p of August 11, 2023, citizens whose close relatives (husband, wife, son, daughter, father, mother, grandfather, grandmother, sibling or non-sibling) were killed or went missing while taking measures to ensure national security and defense in the course of confronting and deterring the armed aggression of the Russian Federation in the territories of Donetsk and Luhansk regions may freely cross the state border of Ukraine during the period of martial law.
