After the mass deportation of Ukrainians, the Russian Federation began their forced passportization. This was reported on April 10 by ombudsman Lyudmila Denisova in Facebook.

"Removed to Russia citizens of Ukraine have already been issued 12 thousand passports. The occupiers intimidated pensioners, women and persons with disabilities and forced them to write almost 14 thousand applications for Russian citizenship. The forced deportation was followed by forced passportization. The Russian Federation began issuing passports to Ukrainian citizens who were forcibly removed to different regions of the aggressor country," the report said.

Denisova stressed that the actions of the Russian Federation are aimed at continuing the forced integration of the population of our state into the Russian political, economic and humanitarian space. Such "passportization" is illegal, violates the Geneva Convention, and contradicts the principles and norms of international law.
