Zelenskyy: Ukraine Uses Its Own FP-7 Tactical Ballistic Missile for First Time

Ukraine has used its domestically produced FP-7 tactical ballistic missile in combat for the first time, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

“Ukrainian tactical ballistics. FP-7. First combat use. Thank you for the results,” Zelenskyy wrote.

The Ukrainian president said the country would continue producing the missiles but provided no further details about the strike or its target.

The FP-7, developed by Ukrainian defence company Fire Point, was unveiled in 2025. In February 2026, footage emerged showing a test launch of the missile from a ground-based platform.

The FP-7 is designed to strike ground targets at ranges of up to 200 kilometres. It can carry a warhead weighing up to 150 kilograms and has a stated accuracy of up to 14 metres.

The missile has a maximum speed of 1,500 metres per second and can reach an altitude of up to 65 kilometres.
