The first female UAV unit will appear in Ukraine

The first female UAV unit will be created in Ukraine. Recruitment is already open and will take place through a competitive selection process. This was announced by the commander of the company of attack drones, Ihor Lutsenko.

Any willing Ukrainian woman over the age of 18 can apply. The selection will take place during training. Only after the training and testing will a woman know if she is suitable for service.

The main stages that a woman who wants to join the new UAV unit must go through: application submission; determination of the ability to perform combat missions; training; verification by the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU); final decision.

Lutsenko noted that skills in the field of piloting, operation, repair and maintenance of drones or similar systems will be an advantage. Other military skills will also be helpful.

"Knowledge and experience in the field of piloting, operation, repair, maintenance of UAVs or similar systems will be a plus. Also, of course, military skills, from sapper to medic or rifleman, will not hurt. Experience in programming, working in technical specialties (electronics, radio, etc.) will also be a plus. But the main thing is the willingness to learn! And the willingness to get along with the team, because it is essential in war," Lutsenko said.

It should be noted that drones are actively used at the front by Ukraine and Russia. Both countries are highly dependent on Chinese drones and components.
