Russia currently has no plans to capture Kharkiv - Putin

Russia currently has no plans to capture Kharkiv. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin, according to Russian media.

He stated that the offensive in the Kharkiv region is “the fault of the Ukrainian authorities” and “a response to the shelling of Russian regions.”

“I said publicly that if the shelling of Belgorod continues, we will be forced to create a security zone,” Putin said.

He claims that the Russians there “are making progress every day and according to plan.”

As we reported earlier, the Russian Federation expanded its active front line by 70 kilometers in the Kharkiv region to draw back the Ukrainian Armed Forces' reserves.
