Zelensky: AFU stabilized Russian advance in the north of Kharkiv region

In the north of Kharkiv region, the Ukrainian Armed Forces have “stabilized” the Russian advance. This was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky at a meeting with journalists.

“Today, our Defense Forces have stabilized the Russians where they are now. The deepest point of their advance is 10 kilometers. In the directions of some brigades, the enemy has no advance at all and never had any,” Zelensky said.

He said that several directions were reinforced by separate battalions - “what could be taken from the reserve somewhere and from some directions.”

Zelensky said that Russia managed to cross the border because of Ukraine's lack of air defense - “they are at a distance where they have an advantage, they are using air bombs, artillery.” He also emphasized the West's delays in supplying weapons.

The President said that Russia has not reached the main defense lines in Kharkiv region, but only the first one, which was built by the military themselves under fire.

He also said that Russia's goal in this direction is Vovchansk.

“In addition to the fact that they want a 10-kilometer zone, they want to always develop the success, if any,” the president said.
