Expanding export potential: Zakarpattia plans to create a "dry port" for grain to the EU

A "dry port" for grain to be exported to Europe will be opened in the village of Horonda, Mukachevo district, in Zakarpattia. This was announced on Facebook by the head of the Zakarpattia RMA Viktor Mykyta.

"A multimodal logistics hub for grain exports to the EU will appear in Zakarpattia. We are working with Italian investors to implement the Horonda Platform project in the village of Horonda, Mukachevo district," he said.

The logistics hub will not only contribute to the development of the region's export potential, but will also enable local agricultural producers to expand their foreign markets. According to Mykyta, Horonda Platform will not only be a strategically important project, but will also help strengthen the positive image of Zakarpattia as a reliable partner in the implementation of large-scale initiatives.

The project also provides for the creation of more than 200 new jobs in the region.

Representatives of Italian companies participating in the project expressed interest in supporting cooperation with the Ukrainian side in various aspects, including socio-economic and legal. The launch and operation of the "dry port" is expected to be promising for both sides.
