Kiev Mayor Vitaly Klitschko said that Ukrainians have nowhere to retreat, and we will protect our home from Russian invaders. Klitschko said this in an interview with Reuters.
"We will not surrender. We have nowhere to retreat to. Thousands have already been killed in this war against Ukraine. And this number will grow, unfortunately," Klitschko said.
He also stressed that Kiev authorities have evacuated orphans to Poland and Germany.
"The situation is tense, people are alarmed, because constant shelling of residential areas and critical infrastructure continues," Klitschko said.
