A large number of tanks are now approaching Kiev from the side of Belarus. This was reported by the mayor of Kiev Vitaly Klitschko on one of the Ukrainian TV channels.

"The situation is heated, now coming from Belarus, a large number of tanks, from the east. Our guys are also preparing to defend themselves. I am proud, for being a Ukrainian, and these actions of our guys, actions of will, of the Ukrainian character. The guys are showing incredible results. They fight these attacks," said Klitschko.

He noted that today the Russians' goal is the capital.

Klitschko reported that the enemy is pulling forces closer to the capital. At night, Bila Tserkva was shelled, fighting continued in Bucha and Gostomel.
