Western countries have plans to increase arms production in Ukraine. This is an economically beneficial step for both Ukraine and global arms manufacturers. This was reported by The New York Times.

It is emphasized that yesterday's visit of NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg and the British and French defense ministers to Kyiv is related to these plans to increase production in Ukraine.

"This will be an important opportunity for Ukrainian companies to establish new partnerships with the industry within the Alliance and beyond. The stronger Ukraine becomes, the closer we come to ending Russia's aggression," the NATO Secretary General said at a press conference with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

This initiative is seen as potentially beneficial for Western arms manufacturers, although it is accompanied by certain risks associated with Russia's constant missile and drone attacks on Ukraine.

The visits of the UK and French defense ministers and the NATO Secretary General took place a day before an international forum of defense contractors organized by the Ukrainian government to attract companies to develop industrial capacity for the production and repair of weapons in Ukraine.

According to Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba, the event will bring together representatives of 165 companies from 26 countries.
