President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that there is no presence of Russian troops in the village of Ryzhivka, Sumy region, and that the Ukrainian Defense Forces are in full control of the situation in the region.

"The day began with a report from the Chief of the General Staff with details in all directions. Sumy region: our forces are in full control of the situation. Russian subversive groups are still active. They are being destroyed. And they will be destroyed,” the President said.

Regarding the village of Ryzhivka, Zelensky said, “the occupier tried to implement a propaganda operation there.”

“As of this morning, the Russian flag in the village has been destroyed, and there is no occupant presence,” he said.

In addition, according to the Head of State, counterattacks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Kharkiv direction are ongoing.

"We see what steps the enemy is planning and what redeployment it being carried out. We will respond,” Zelensky wrote.

The situation on the southern front remains unchanged, the president said.

At the same time, he said, the most difficult situation is in the Donetsk direction.

“However, the Defense Forces of Ukraine are doing everything to stabilize and protect our positions,” Zelensky said.
