The ambassadors of the countries of the European Union approved the decision to create the EU civil mission in Moldova.
Radio Svoboda correspondent Rikard Jozwiak wrote about this on Twitter.
"The EU ambassadors have just given the green light to the creation of an EU civilian mission in Moldova to help the country confront hybrid threats from Russia," the message reads.
Jozwiak added that the EU foreign ministers will make this decision on Monday.
Earlier it was reported that this week the EU ambassadors will agree on the sanctions regime in connection with attempts to destabilize the situation in Moldova.
Moldova previously called on the European Union to impose sanctions on politicians and oligarchs who help Russia destabilize the country.
This happened against the background of the Kremlin's revealed plan to destabilize the situation in the country, which included control over the political sphere, energy blackmail, and increased tensions in Transnistria.
Officially, Moscow denies the "plan to destabilize Moldova", stating that these are "absolutely baseless" statements.
