Ukraine's energy system continues to recover after the December 16 missile attack by the Russian occupiers, which damaged at least 9 facilities and limited NPP generation, nuclear units are gaining power, reports PrJSC NEC Ukrenergo.

 "As of December 17, the energy system of Ukraine continues to recover after the 9th missile attack by the enemy. The process of bringing the blocks of nuclear plants, with the exception of the occupied Zaporizhzhya NPP, to the level of the planned capacity is underway. TPPs are gradually resuming work, hydroelectric power plants continue to work according to schedule," the message says. NEC on Saturday.

 According to him, the shortage of electric power remains significant due to the missile attack, and all oblenergos have proven their consumption limits.

 The company indicated that emergency restoration work is ongoing at energy facilities damaged by shelling. At the same time, the state of the networks is complicated by weather conditions - rain with snow, frost and strong wind, as a result of which the equipment freezes.

 Repair crews work around the clock, Ukrenergo emphasized.

 They also noted that the state of emergency, introduced exclusively for market operations, was ended on December 16 at 7:15 p.m. and the market is now operating normally.
