Head of Ukrenergo: The situation in Ukraine's energy system will soon improve, but not for long

The situation in Ukraine's energy system will soon improve, but not for long. This was stated by the head of Ukrenergo, Volodymyr Kudrytskyi.

He said that on the night of June 7-8, an additional unit at the nuclear power plant will be put into operation and this will improve the situation in the power system.

“We expect that on the night of Friday to Saturday an additional unit at the NPP will come into operation and this will give a pleasant welding to the capacity we have throughout the power system for two weeks. That is, the schedules will not disappear, but will become softer throughout the power system,” Kudrytskyi said.

He also noted that with this power unit commissioning, it will be easier for the regions to comply with the limits. However, this improvement will be temporary, as July is still ahead, when the heat will affect the power system's load.
