The German defense concern Rheinmetall is ready to transfer the first Marder BMPs to Ukraine. But this requires a corresponding decision of the country's government.
Armin Papperger told the company in an interview with Süddeutsche Zeitung.
"We could provide a total of 100 Marder in the medium term, the first ones would be ready in three weeks. We are waiting for the decision of the federal government...But now there are enough countries that want these vehicles, not just Ukraine," the executive said.
