Croatian President summoned an emergency meeting of law enforcers over drone over Zagreb

Croatian President Zoran Milanovic convened an urgent meeting of heads of law enforcement agencies in the morning of March 11 in connection with the fall of a drone in the capital city, presumably coming from Ukraine.

This is reported by Jutarnij List.

The meeting was attended by the Chief of General Staff, heads of intelligence and key advisers to the President.

At a briefing after the meeting, Milanovic said that "it is known which vehicle flew in and from where," without specifying any details, except that it was "not from this region." According to him, there were no premature intelligence signals about the drone.

"This is a serious incident, the investigation is ongoing. I urge people to remain calm, such incidents are possible during military conflicts. Now we should find out how it happened and why this object the size of a small plane was not shot down, how it spent so much time in the airspace," Milanovic said.

Before that, Prime Minister Andrej Plenkovic said that so far Croatia had no exact information about the origin of the drone.

It was reported that around midnight on March 11, an unknown drone, which could have come from Ukraine, crashed in the western part of the Croatian capital Zagreb.

Unofficially, the publication learned that a red star and Cyrillic letters were visible on the remnants of the aircraft. This information has not been officially confirmed.

Military aviation expert Tyler Rogovay, with whom Jutarnji List communicated, claims that it could be a Tu-141 Strizh drone.

Journalists noticed that the area of Zagreb, where the drone fell down, is called the same as the village in Zhytomyr region.
