Ukraine expects to receive a new tranche of budget support from the European Union in the coming days, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said.
The Ukrainian president thanked the European Commission and the EU for preparing a decision on the next disbursement of financial assistance.
“Last week, we received €3.3 billion for weapons, and in the coming days, we expect even more good financial news from Brussels specifically, budget support, another tranche. Thank you. These funds are part of the amounts previously agreed,” Zelenskyy said.
The president also said he had held talks with the head of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
According to Zelenskyy, the bank is working closely with Ukraine, supporting its energy sector and helping protect critical infrastructure.
“We discussed the challenges ahead of winter, our needs, and how we can strengthen our cooperation to ensure greater protection for our people,” the Ukrainian president said.
