Ukraine's Air Force will receive F-16 fighter jets from Belgium. A high-level agreement has been reached, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy announced.
According to the president, Belgium will transfer three F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine by the end of the year.
"We will receive these aircraft through an accelerated procedure," he noted.
Zelenskyy added that Ukraine has already received ammunition for F-16s from Belgium and other countries, including Spain.
"At a time when Russia is escalating its aggression every day, we need to strengthen our capabilities to destroy aerial targets and protect people," the president said.
He thanked the Belgian government and the prime minister for "the decisive steps taken to support Ukraine in response to Russia's brutal attacks targeting human lives."
