Croatia will not import Ukrainian grain - Prime Minister

Croatia will not import Ukrainian grain. This was stated by Prime Minister Andrej Plenković, Politico reports.

"Croatia's position and desire is that we are a transit country, not a country that receives a huge amount of Ukrainian grain, which is cheaper than ours, which would mean that our farmers would be in trouble," Plenković said.

According to him, Zagreb is ready to provide the services of its ports for grain transshipment, but nothing more. He also admitted that an embargo on Ukrainian agricultural products could be imposed, following the example of Poland, Hungary and Slovakia.
