Parliamentarians want to check the work of ombudsman Denisova and possibly fire her

People's deputy from "Servants of the people" Maksym Dyrdyn proposed to create an investigation commission to check possible violations of the oath of office by the Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights Lyudmila Denysova.

Draft Resolution #6322 is published on the website of the Rada and is already being processed in the relevant committee.

It is noteworthy that the ombudsman can be dismissed on the basis of the information received by the HSC.

As explained in the draft decree, the main tasks of the commission are:

checking the possible facts of violation of Denisova's oath of office;

prepare a conclusion about the grounds for dismissal of the ombudsman.

The reason for launching such an initiative, according to MP Dyrdin, were 6 applications from citizen D.M. Kachura. Such letters were received by the heads of factions and groups in the parliament.

In them Kachura notes that the District Administrative Court of Kyiv has made several decisions in which Denisova's refusal to consider Kachura's electronic appeals was found unlawful. Therefore, the Ukrainian asks for the issue of her dismissal on the basis of the facts stated in his statements, for violation of the oath.

According to part 2 of Article 9 of the Law of Ukraine "On the Ombudsman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine", the conclusion on the grounds for dismissal of the ombudsman should be given by the HSC in the Parliament.

Recall that it is the ombudsman Lyudmila Denisova constantly covers the processes taking place in the annexed Crimea with the detention of the Crimean Tatars.

Also, Lyudmila Denisova monitors the situation with the citizen of Ukraine Mikhail Saakashvili, who was detained in Georgia and is now coming out of a hunger strike in hospital.
