Personnel changes are expected in the Cabinet of Ministers: two new ministers and Chernyshov's resignation

This week, the Cabinet of Ministers is scheduled to make a number of appointments, including to the positions of Ministers of Infrastructure and Regional Policy.

According to several sources in the government, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office Oleksiy Kuleba may head the newly created Ministry of Regional Policy. His place may be taken by the head of the Zakarpattia RMA Viktor Mykyta. Kuleba is also likely to become deputy prime minister.

The favorite for the post of Infrastructure Minister is Oleksiy Chernyshov, the chairman of the board of Naftogaz of Ukraine, who may also become deputy prime minister.

The interlocutors noted that the option of appointing Oleksandr Kamyshyn, head of the Ministry of Strategic Industries, as Minister of Infrastructure was discussed, but this option was rejected.

The sources also note that it would be logical to fill the vacancies in the Cabinet, including the position of Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction, before the Conference on Reconstruction of Ukraine, which will be held on June 11-12 in Berlin.

The final decision on all personnel issues will be made tonight at a meeting of the parliamentary leadership, the Servant of the People party, and the president.
