In Odesa, a 20-year-old policewoman was washed away into the sea during a photo shoot and died. According to the regional headquarters of the National Police, the tragedy occurred last night on a beach.
“Police are establishing the circumstances of the tragic death of a police officer from Rivne. The incident occurred yesterday evening in Odesa, where the 20-year-old girl was off duty, on vacation in her free time. She was taking pictures on the pier in memory of her stay in Odesa. The first wave knocked her down, and the second one washed her into the sea,” the statement said.
It is noted that the investigators entered the information into the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations on the grounds of Part 1 of Article 115 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine with the note “missing”.
The State Emergency Service of Odesa region reported that divers from the State Emergency Service were involved in the search for the missing woman.
Local publics published a video showing the girl being washed away by a wave.
“At some point, the policewoman was knocked down by a wave, she fell, hit her head on the slabs and was washed away into the sea,” one of the local Telegram channels reported.
