The United States will take part in the Global Peace Summit, which will be held in Switzerland in mid-June. This was announced at a briefing by White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.

“As you know, we have been actively involved in each of the previous Ukrainian peace summits. The US government is participating in this one. And we will be represented at this upcoming summit,” she said.

At the same time, when asked whether US President Joe Biden would attend the event, Jean-Pierre replied: “I have no more specific information to share.”

For the United States, it is important to make sure that “Ukraine has all the capabilities necessary to defend itself and to ensure a just and lasting peace.”
