For the first time, Iran has supplied Russia with the latest Qaem-5 high-precision aerial bombs for strikes on Ukraine. This information was provided by Bild.
The well-known analyst Julian Röpke, who analyzed the video from the Kursk region, where the Iranian drone Qods Mohajer-6 crashed, found that this particular drone was carrying the latest Iranian Qaem-5 guided bombs. These bombs were put into service in Iran only in 2019.
According to Röpke, this drone was probably sent from Iran to attack the Sumy region, but as a result of the crash, it was unable to fulfill its task.
Previously, Russian forces in the occupied territories have not used Qaem-5 high-precision bombs in Ukraine.
According to analyst Röpke, this indicates a “new level” of military cooperation between Tehran and Moscow.
