In the Donetsk region, near Chasiv Yar, the Defense Forces managed to recapture the village of Kalynivka from the Russians, which they had recently seized. This is reported by the German publication BILD.

During the offensive on Chasiv Yar, which is located west of Bakhmut, the Russian Armed Forces are using a double-strike tactic. The Russians are directly attacking the Canal microdistrict in the east of the city and also flanking it.

“At the end of April, the Russian Armed Forces advanced in the south and reached the Siverskyi Donets-Donbas canal. In the north, they recently captured the village of Kalynivka and also reached the canal. The Canal microdistrict is completely destroyed, but remains in the hands of Ukrainian defenders. Recently, the Ukrainian Armed Forces successfully counterattacked and recaptured Kalynivka,” the statement said.

Julian Röpke noted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces also pushed the Russian Armed Forces away from the canal near Chasivi Yar.
