In particular, the Chinese sanctions apply to General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, General Dynamics Land Systems, and Boeing Defense, Space & Security, which are prohibited from conducting “import-export” business with China.
The executives of these three companies are also banned from entering China, their work permits will be revoked, and they will not be granted guest status or approved for residence.
This is one of the restrictions announced by the Chinese state news agency Xinhua, citing the country's Ministry of Commerce.
On Monday, Lai Ching-te was sworn in as president of Taiwan, marking the beginning of a historic third term for the ruling Democratic Progressive Party on the island. This party advocates the preservation of democracy despite growing pressure from authoritarian China.
