Border communities of Kharkiv region are under intense massive Russian shelling. There are dead and wounded. This was reported by the head of the Kharkiv RMA, Oleh Synegubov. 

“9:45 a.m. Buhaivka village of Vovchansk community. A private house was damaged by shelling. There are no casualties. At about 10 a.m., the enemy fired on the city of Vovchansk, injuring 2 civilians,” the statement said.

In addition, a 55-year-old civilian man died as a result of shelling of Cherkaski Tyshky village in Kharkiv district.  

A man was killed in the daytime shelling of Vovchansk.

“13:22 Vovchansk. The occupant struck a private house - a 60-year-old woman was wounded. At the same time, a civilian man was killed and two more were injured as a result of hostile shelling of a private household, one of them under the rubble of the house,” said Synegubov.

The head of Vovchansk military administration Tamaz Gambarashvili said that the population is being evacuated from the city and nearby settlements.

He noted that the police and volunteers are working together to evacuate people who want to evacuate but cannot do so on their own transport. 

“We are now evacuating the population. Most people are leaving by their own transport. But at the same time, together with the humanitarian center, we are organizing the evacuation of those locals who do not have their own cars. We work together with volunteers and the police. We are evacuating people from Vovchansk and nearby settlements,” he said.
