Explosions and smoke in occupied Luhansk: Russians claim missile strike

On the morning of May 20, explosions occurred in Luhansk, which is under temporary occupation, causing a huge column of smoke to rise near one of the Russian bases.

Russians claimed “hits or shootdowns” over the city, according to Russian Telegram channels. One of them claims that more than 10 Storm Shadow cruise missiles were destroyed over Luhansk.

Other Russian sources reported the arrival of aircraft, as well as detonations in one of the city's districts.

According to the NEXTA Live Telegram channel, the missile strike probably took place at the former Luhansk Academy of Internal Affairs, where Russian troops have been stationed since 2014.
