Slavyansk oil refinery under attack by drones: Russia confirms losses

An oil refinery in Slavyansk-on-Kuban in Russia's Krasnodar Krai was damaged by a drone attack on May 19, the Russian service of Radio Liberty reported.


According to him, the extent of the damage is not yet fully known. On the night of May 19, the authorities of the Krasnodar Krai of the Russian Federation reported that a drone had fallen on the territory of the refinery, adding that no fires, damage or casualties were detected.


However, the administration of Slavyansk-on-Kuban later confirmed that six drones had crashed on the territory of the plant, but according to preliminary data, no injuries or damage were recorded.


Later, Eduard Trudnev, Director of Integrated Security at Slavyansk ECO Group, said that there were visible signs of destruction on the territory of the enterprise and that the work of the refinery had been suspended.


Earlier, we reported that Russia witnessed another drone attack on the Krasnodar Krai on the night of May 18-19. This time, the oil refinery was hit, where one of the drones reportedly crashed into its territory.
