QR-codes instead of paper documents: what awaits conscripts in Ukraine

In Ukraine, conscripts will be able to replace their military ID cards with a QR code that can be carried with them. This was announced by the head of the Servant of the People parliamentary faction and a member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence, David Arakhamia, on his Telegram channel.

The politician added that, according to the Ministry of Defense, as of today, 2944 people have updated their personal data in the Territorial Registration Centers and Insurance Units, and 3703 people have done so in the Administrative Service Centers.

Also, 415,094 Ukrainians have updated their data through the Reserve+ platform.

Arakhamia noted that the next step will be the creation of a QR code that will replace the need to carry a military ID card.

The head of the parliamentary faction explained that such a QR code will work “similarly to a COVID certificate.”
