SBGS detained a serviceman who wanted to get to Transnistria and passed information about the Armed Forces to Russia

In Vinnytsia region, border guards detained a serviceman who wanted to get to Transnistria. The suspect is suspected of treason. A Telegram bot was found in his phone, where he sent information about the Armed Forces of Ukraine while in the combat zone. This was reported by the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine.


The agency writes that the detainee is a soldier who left the military unit without permission and planned to illegally get to unrecognized Transnistria.


"A Telegram bot was found in the phone, where the offender, being in the combat zone in Donetsk region, "leaked" information about the movement of the Armed Forces units, their provision of equipment and ammunition," the SBGS writes.


The suspect was served a notice of suspicion of high treason and a preventive measure of restraint was imposed on him. The investigation is ongoing.
