President Volodymyr Zelensky has approved the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine of November 7, 2023 "On Additional Measures to Strengthen the Sustainability of the Energy System and Prepare the National Economy for the Autumn-Winter Period of 2023/24". The relevant Decree No. 737/2023 was published on the website of the President of Ukraine.


The decree approves a number of measures to pay off debts in the electricity and gas markets, develop and stimulate alternative energy, create maneuvering capacities for energy facilities, restrict Ukrainian gas exports and increase imports from non-traditional directions for Ukraine, etc.
