UEFA revokes decision to allow Russian youth team to participate in international tournaments

The UEFA Executive Committee has canceled the scandalous decision to allow the Russian U-17 national team to participate in international tournaments. This was reported by British journalist Rob Harris on Twitter.

UEFA said that "it was not possible to find a technical solution that allows Russian teams to play."

Previously, the UEFA Executive Committee allowed Russian national teams with players under the age of 17 to participate in its tournaments. In response, several countries announced that they would boycott matches with Russian youth teams. In addition to Ukraine, England, Sweden, Denmark, Lithuania, Latvia, Norway, and Poland announced boycotts.

The Ukrainian Football Association called UEFA's decision "groundless and tolerant of Russia's aggressive policy" and demanded a ban on the participation of all Russian teams.
