French President Emmanuel Macron expressed hope that the Ukrainian Armed Forces' counteroffensive will help return both countries, Ukraine and Russia, to the negotiation process. He said this in an interview with Le Point.
He emphasized that the Ukrainian counteroffensive has the potential to "bring everyone back to the negotiating table." However, the French leader emphasized that "good negotiations will be the ones that Ukrainians want."
The French president also criticized Russian President Vladimir Putin, accusing him of "fueling the world's disorder by deciding to no longer respect international agreements."
