Precautionary measure for Dubinsky: how it threatens the people's deputy (UPDATED)

The Pechersk District Court of Kyiv has imposed a precautionary measure for People's Deputy Oleksandr Dubinsky in the form of a personal commitment for two months.

According to the court's verdict, the deputy will have to appear before the investigating authorities upon request. This was reported by media representatives who were present in the courtroom.

On August 3, Ukrainian law enforcement officers searched the house of Oleksandr Dubinsky. The People's Deputy is suspected of traveling abroad under the pretext of treating his sick father, who had previously left Ukraine and returned without the active participation of his son.

In addition, law enforcement agencies are investigating the facts of signing official documents by Oleksandr Dubinsky during his stay abroad, which may indicate their possible falsification.

Oleksandr Dubinsky has expressed his reaction to the court's decision on the precautionary measure. The politician plans to appeal, if possible, and called the ongoing trial a "political order," according to the Politika Strany Telegram channel.

"The Zelenskyy-Yermak regime is persecuting me for testifying to the NABU in the case of former MP Andriy Derkach, who is suspected of treason for publishing the records of Poroshenko and Biden. During the searches, all the investigators were interested in were my mobile phones and computers, where they were looking for copies of my testimony to NABU detectives about Derkach's tapes," Dubinsky said.

Dubinsky also stated that the personal obligation imposed on him, which includes the use of an electronic bracelet, is related to the authorities' desire to control his movements. He emphasized that he regularly meets with politicians from European countries, and claims that "the Zelenskyy regime wants to control my contacts, my movement."

"If they can do this to apeople's deputy, imagine what they can do to an ordinary citizen," Dubinsky said.
