Ukraine refuses Russia's invitation to the Global Peace Summit: Kuleba's arguments

Ukraine's Foreign Minister, Dmytro Kuleba, has explained why Ukraine does not consider it appropriate to invite Russia to the Global Peace Summit in Switzerland. In an interview with Foreign Policy, he noted that although contacts with Moscow may become necessary after the consolidation of the positions of the international community, such actions do not make sense now.

Kuleba emphasized that Ukraine's policy is based on real-life experiences, including the persistent failure of attempts in attempts to conduct constructive negotiations with Russia in the past.

Instead, the minister identified two ways to achieve cooperation with the Kremlin: success on the battlefield or the formation of a coalition of countries that share common principles.

Such a summit, according to Kuleba, is aimed at uniting countries that share common values and approaches for future initiatives.
