The European Commission has expanded the list of goods subject to a ban on imports to Poland from Ukraine - sunflower oil has been added to it. Transit of these products will be allowed.
This is reported by RMF24.
Previously, this list included wheat, corn, rapeseed and sunflower seeds. Polish Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development Robert Telus said that his country will not abandon the blockade of Ukrainian imports until Polish demands are met.
"We will not abandon our actions at this moment, which we have taken, unless we get the appropriate tools that guarantee that the Polish farmer will be safe when it comes to issues related to trade, the flow of goods from Ukraine to Poland." , - he declared.
In addition, Telus emphasized that Poland will demand a ban on the import of flour, honey, sugar, soft fruits (frozen), eggs, meat (especially poultry), milk and dairy products, as well as apple juice and concentrate.
We will remind you that Bulgaria, Slovakia, Hungary and Poland decided unilaterally to ban the import of agricultural products from Ukraine. This is due to the fact that the import of grain significantly affected prices on the domestic market. This caused discontent among local farmers.
