The Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine dismissed Yury Vitrenko from the post of chairman of the board of Naftogaz of Ukraine, People's Deputy Oleksiy Goncharenko reported.
"The Cabinet dismissed Yury Vitrenko. Oleksiy Chernyshov, Minister of Regional Development, will most likely become the new head of Naftogaz," he wrote on his Telegram channel on Tuesday.
According to him, the decision was made unanimously.
"This says that Vitrenko was removed not because of the results, but because of political will," he added.
In turn, Naftogaz officially confirmed that the Cabinet of Ministers approved Vitrenko's resignation. He will continue to hold the position of the head of the NAK until November 3, 2022 inclusive.
