US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken arrived in Kyiv on an unannounced visit.

This was reported by BBC journalist Barbara Plett Usher on Twitter.

"US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken is visiting Ukraine in connection with the US announcement of an additional $2.6 billion in security assistance to Kyiv and its neighbors," she wrote.

At the same time, the American publication ABC News confirms the information about Blinken's arrival in Kyiv.

In a meeting with senior Ukrainian officials, Blinken said the Joe Biden administration would provide $2 billion in long-term foreign military funding to Ukraine and 18 of its neighbors, including NATO members and regional security partners, "most potentially at risk of future Russian aggression."
