China on Friday broke off talks with the U.S. on defense and climate due to deteriorating relations between the world's largest economies following House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's trip to Taiwan. This is stated in the publication of Bloomberg agency.

Among the measures announced by China is the termination of negotiations with the U.S. on defense. Beijing said it would cancel dialogue with U.S. military leaders.

In addition, Beijing will stop negotiations on climate, one of the areas where the two countries have found common ground in recent years.
