An 8-year-old child was wounded because of tonight's shelling near Mykolaiv - Office of the Prosecutor General

The number of children wounded as a result of the full-scale invasion of Ukraine has risen to at least 686. In particular, because of today's shelling near Mykolaiv, an 8-year-old girl was wounded. This is reported by the Office of the Prosecutor General.

 

"More than 1,044 children have been injured in Ukraine as a result of the full-scale armed aggression of the Russian Federation. As of the morning of July 25, 2022, the official number of child victims per day has not changed - 358. The number of wounded has increased - more than 686," the report says.

 

The largest number of children suffered in the Donetsk region - 362, Kharkiv region - 194, Kyiv region - 116, Chernihiv region - 68, Lugansk region - 61, Mykolayiv region - 55, Kherson region - 54, Zaporizhzhia region - 40.

 

These figures are not final, since work is under way to establish them in places of active combat operations and in temporarily occupied and liberated territories.

 

Thus, on July 25, an 8-year-old girl was wounded as a result of shelling by the occupants of the Mykolayiv district of the Mykolayiv region.

 

On July 18, a 17-year-old boy was injured as a result of artillery shelling of the town of Hornyak in Donetsk region.

 

Because of the bombardment and shelling by the Russian armed forces, 2,188 educational institutions were reportedly damaged. Of these, 221 were completely destroyed.
