Ukraine has already almost used up all the artillery ammunition in the war with Russia. The Ukrainian Armed Forces use from 5,000 to 6,000 artillery shells a day.

This was stated by a representative of the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, Vadym Skibitskyy, reports The Guardian.

According to him, Ukraine is losing to Russia on the fronts and is now almost entirely dependent on Western weapons to contain Russia.

"It is now an artillery war. Now the future will be decided on the front lines, and we are losing in artillery. Everything now depends on what the West gives us. Ukraine has one artillery piece against 10-15 Russian pieces. Our Western partners have given us about 10% of what they have," he said.

According to Skibitsky, the Ukrainian military now uses NATO-standard 155-caliber shells.

"Europe also supplies smaller caliber shells, but as they run out, there are fewer and fewer," he added.
