At least 624 children have suffered at the hands of Russian occupiers in Ukraine

More than 624 children have suffered as a result of Russia's armed aggression in Ukraine, according to the Office of the Prosecutor General.

 

"More than 624 children suffered in Ukraine as a result of the armed aggression of the Russian Federation. As of the morning of May 2, 2022, the official number of child victims has not changed - 219. The number of wounded has increased - more than 405," the report said.

 

Most of the children suffered in the Donetsk region - 139, Kyiv region - 115, Kharkiv region - 95, Chernihiv region - 68, Kherson region - 45, Mykolaiv region - 43, Lugansk region - 37, Zaporizhzhya region - 27, Sumy region - 17, in Kyiv city - 16, Zhitomyr region - 15.

 

These figures are not final, as work is underway to establish them in places of active combat operations, in the temporarily occupied and liberated territories.

 

Thus, on April 29, a 15-year-old boy was wounded as a result of the occupants' shelling of the village of Vremovka, Velykonoselkovsky district of Donetsk oblast.

 

We should also remind you that 1,570 educational institutions were damaged due to daily bombardment and shelling by the Russian armed forces. At the same time, 111 of them were completely destroyed, the prosecutor's office said.
