Austrian Foreign Minister before his visit to Kyiv: Ukraine's sovereignty is a matter of our security

The heads of the foreign ministries of Germany, the Czech Republic, Austria and Slovakia will visit Ukraine on February 7 and 8 at the invitation of Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba. Before the visit, Austrian Foreign Minister Alexander Schallenberg said that Ukraine's sovereignty is a security issue for all of central Europe, writes UNN.

 

"A joint trip of the foreign ministers of Slavkovskiy frmat to Ukraine. Sending a strong signal of Central European solidarity with the Ukrainian people. After all, Ukraine's sovereignty is a matter of our own security," the minister wrote on his Twitter.

 

Czech Foreign Ministers Jan Lipavsky, Austria Alexander Schallenberg and Slovakia Ivan Korchok will pay a joint visit to Ukraine on February 7-8 at the invitation of Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba.

 

According to the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry, the first-ever visit by the heads of foreign ministries of the Slavkovske format countries is aimed at demonstrating solidarity with our state against the background of aggressive actions of the Russian Federation.

 

Also on February 7-8, German Federal Minister of Foreign Affairs Annalena Berbock will pay a second visit to Ukraine at the invitation of Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba. It is noted that the ministers will hold talks, the key topics of which will be the coordination of efforts within the framework of the Normandy format, the implementation of a comprehensive package to contain Russia, the development of trade relations, strengthening energy security, the intensification of dialogue on the historical responsibility of Germany to Ukraine.

 

During the visit, the German Foreign Minister also plans to visit the line of demarcation in Donbas to familiarize with the current security situation in the zone of the Russian-Ukrainian armed conflict.
