Rada dismisses Minister of Veterans Affairs

Today, on February 7, the Verkhovna Rada supported the resignation of Minister of Veterans Affairs Yulia Laputina. The relevant committee on social policy noted the unsatisfactory work of the ministry. This was reported by MP Yaroslav Zheleznyak.

302 deputies voted for resignation.

"Moreover, the relevant Committee on Social Policy noted the unsatisfactory work of the Ministry. All speakers, both from the government and the opposition, criticized the minister in their speeches. The ex-minister herself did not even come to the report," Zheleznyak writes.

As a reminder, on February 5, the Verkhovna Rada received Laputina's resignation letter. She became the Minister of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine in December 2020. She is one of the few female generals in Ukraine. She served in the SBU and participated in the ATO.
