European aid to Ukraine should not depend only on Germany. Other countries also need to step up their support. This was stated by German Chancellor Olaf Scholz, RP Online reports.
"It (aid to Ukraine - ed.) cannot depend only on Germany," Scholz said during a speech in the Bundestag.
He clarified that Germany will provide Ukraine with more than half of all aid from European countries in 2024.
"We must support Ukraine in its fight for freedom," the Chancellor emphasized.
He also added that Europe should follow the principle under which the borders of any country should not be changed by force.
