The Czech Republic will not deport Ukrainians to their homeland to serve in the army, Czech Foreign Minister Jan Lipavsky told ČT24.

"Such mechanisms do not exist, and they certainly would not comply with international law and the obligations that the Czech Republic has in the international sphere," he said.

About 200,000 Ukrainian men with various types of visas live in the country. A valid Ukrainian passport is required to extend them. A new one can be issued at a migration service office.

"Its issuance can be conditioned by the presence of a valid military ticket. This would allow us to identify those who are hiding abroad from mobilization," the publication writes.
