Zelensky held an important meeting of the Stavka on strengthening air defense

On Tuesday, January 9, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held a meeting of the Supreme Commander-in-Chief's Staff. The commanders of the main directions and operations were present in person. This was reported on the President's Telegram channel.

"Together with them, the General Staff, the Ministry of Defense, the Ministry of Strategy and the Ministry of Digital Transformation, we analyzed the issue of supplying the front with shells and drones in every detail. Actual costs, daily needs, distribution between units," Zelensky wrote.


The President said that during the meeting it was decided to systematize current and future contracts, to discuss assistance from partners, own production and the opening of new lines to provide soldiers with everything they need.


The meeting also discussed the topic of strengthening air defense in Ukraine.


Zelensky emphasized that the latest Russian strikes and the effectiveness of the Air Force were analyzed, and the next steps were agreed upon to strengthen the protection of cities, communities, businesses and critical infrastructure.
