Conscripted Ukrainians abroad may lose access to bank cards and consular services: details

Deputies of the Verkhovna Rada will adopt a law that will provide for mandatory re-identification of all men of military age in the TCC. This was reported by Vadym Ivchenko, a member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence, on Radio Liberty.

Ukrainians abroad who have not registered may be deprived of banking and other services.

"One of the consequences, for example, may be that consular services will not be provided, meaning that if a passport is expired, no one will provide a new one. He will not be able to provide consular services in the form of a power of attorney, because many people make powers of attorney to courts in Ukraine to either sell property or, excuse me, to make a gift, etc." Ivchenko said.

Such men may be deprived of the opportunity to use bank cards.

"The bank will also ask for a new identification, but this identification must include this certificate, this military record. This means that even bank cards may be cut off," said the People's Deputy.
